EducationFrom colleges and universities to professional schools and secondary education, SWS provides both public and private school systems with professional and reliable environmental services. Our goal is to be a single source for school systems procuring anything from high pressure water blasting to expired chemical disposal to emergency spill response, and anything in between. Regulatory compliance, strict health and safety controls, scheduling flexibility and competitive pricing are key strengths that have put SWS to work for the education industry.
Emergency Response (Containment and Cleanup)
Our Emergency Response teams are well trained and experienced, providing response services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. With 29 locations in ten states and strategic positioning within that footprint, the ability to respond quickly is built in. Emergency response services are comprehensive; meaning SWS can and will provide all facets of the cleanup in order to restore the premises to its original condition as close as is feasible. Our priority is to minimize the disruption to any learning or operating environment.
Chemical Waste Transportation & Disposal (Lab Pack Services)Departments responsible for the development and implementation of proper management practices occasionally have expired or unwanted chemicals that are commonly encountered and stored in lab environments. Expired/unwanted chemicals of this type require proper handling and disposal by trained personnel. SWS provides lab packing services specifically designed to manage materials of this type and offers services to properly manage unwanted stockpiles of laboratory and industrial chemicals. SWS personnel are trained to segregate, containerize and dispose of these chemicals following established safety and regulatory guidelines. Our waste services managers and field chemists are fully trained, have extensive experience with chemical disposal and lab packing services, and are experts in EPA, DOT, and OSHA regulations. Lab pack services can be arranged as single instance, periodic or routine projects.
Contaminated Soil and Groundwater Remediation
While soil and groundwater contamination issues may be similar across different industries, we know one size does not fit all in terms of remediation projects. We understand that budget constraints, politics, health & safety, timing or other extraneous factors can dictate the how, when and if a project is approved and performed for entities within the educational system. Often times our remediation services are utilized in conjunction with environmental consulting or engineering firms that have carefully planned a specific remedial action plan or they are executed directly with the institution. In any case, we have the tools, resources, personnel and experience to complete projects on time and on budget, whether directly or through a prime contractor.
