Duration typically ranges from one to five years and tasks are wide ranging including industrial cleaning & maintenance, waste management, and emergency response.

Programs include but are not limited to:

  • Onsite Response and Remediation of Hazardous and Non-Hazardous Spills
  • Soft Dig and Mechanical Excavations of Contaminated Soils
  • Vault and Manhole Cleaning
  • Confirmatory Sampling of Soils and Groundwater

Waste Management Services

SWS manages the transportation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste streams generated from routine business operations, remedial projects and post-response clean-up activities including those listed in the TSCA, RCRA and universal waste categories. Waste classification, profiling, manifesting, hand packing and transportation to qualified Treatment Storage Disposal Facilities (TSDFs) is common. Although SWS does not operate any TSDFs or waste disposal facilities, we do work directly with environmental staffs to ensure that all wastes are transported directly and only to secure and approved disposal facilities. Our approach offers our clients additional benefits such as the ability to use the most cost effective methods for disposal while minimizing long term generator disposal liability. SWS encourages waste minimization whenever possible. We work with our customers to develop and implement waste minimization programs that result in reducing hazardous waste disposal, increase recycling and lower overall waste disposal costs.

Health and Safety Certifications

Response teams and management personnel have responded to incidents in nearly every state as well as locations worldwide. All responders have a minimum of 40-Hour HAZWOPER, First Aid and CPR, Confined Space Entry and Railroad Contractor Worker Training. Most personnel possess additional training and certifications covering a multitude of disciplines. Site-specific health and safety plans and daily tailgate meetings are an integral part of assuring employees and clients the safest working environment possible - every day.
